Our last Saturday Club Ride of the year will leave Bob Evans in Macedonia at 10 AM Saturday, October 19, and take us north on Chillicothe and Caves Roads to the Holden Arboretum for a rest stop. From there we’ll ride along the Lake Erie Bluffs taking some small roads (all paved, but a few short stretches are in poor shape) that are tree canopied and beautiful in their fall colors against the deep blue sky (we can always hope). At SR 528 we begin our tour of the Grand River Valley wine region. The vines are beginning to show their fall colors and are loaded with big bunches of sweet-smelling grapes; you can pick your own or buy fresh juice if you’d like. Lunch will be at Ferrante’s Winery, a favorite spot of the Wednesday group.
Come to Bobs (SR 8 and I-271) early for breakfast, and remember to have a full tank full of gas and your tires aired up. Center stands up at 10 AM.
Paul Mitchell will be leading the ride – thanks Paul!
