This year as you may know, a more aggressive schedule has been planned. This requires a bit of advanced preparation in order to participate. This post highlights a few:

MAY 25th World Of Steam ride:  This requires a ticket for entrance to the tour. Buy that at:  Home – Age of Steam Roundhouse Museum

The ride lead will be Roger Chaplin, so please contact him for further details.

June 29-30: Lima Flat Track Race: This is an over-niter (unless you want to ride home in the dark). There are hotels in Lima, but they fill up as the event nears. Act early if you can.  Also, advanced tickets can be bought at:  Progressive AFT – Event Info – 2024 Lima Half-Mile (americanflattrack.com)

This ride will be led by Duncan Cooper. Text or call for details

JULY 19-21 Wright Patterson AFB/World of Outlaws: This event is a wild one. An over-niter in Dayton near WPAFB followed by a ride to Rossburg OH for the World of Outlaws race (Sprint cars!) There are adequate hotels near WPAFB so you can book your choice of accommodations. A hotel stay near the track is advisable as the event ends about 11pm. Rossburg is very rural and hotels can be a challenge. Act soon if you want to participate in both days. Info here:   Eldora Speedway – Rossburg, OH

        Ride lead: Duncan Cooper

August 17th D-Day re enactment: Also a ticketed event (though I believe they are free) Available here: D-Day Conneaut (ddayohio.org)

This event is usually a sell-out. Ticket sales open June 6th, so act accordingly.

        Ride lead: Matt Walker
