Our first user group on February 26 was a success – we had 9 participants and I think it’s fair to say we all learned something. Our next meeting will be Saturday, March 19, 10:00 – 11:30 AM at the Parma-Snow Branch of the Cuyahoga County Library.
We’re going to start out this meeting with Road Captain Duncan Cooper walking us through the steps of downloading a route from the club website and getting it into your GPS. We’ll also cover what preferences you should set in your GPS, what to do if you get off route, how to update your maps, and other issues that might come up when using your GPS. No question will be too dumb to ask!
As always, we’ll have plenty of time to talk about anything else related to GPSs and Basecamp. If you have an issue you’d like to bring up please bring your GPS and computer so we can be sure to figure out exactly what is going on. We are developing quite a bit of expertise among members of the group so we should be able to help you out.
