As the title of my post says, I’m trying to clean/polish old wire wheels.  Can anyone recommend a wheel builder?  So far I’m doing ok with cleaning and polishing, but I will have to decide soon if I want to take the whole wheel apart to polish the inside of the rim, really clean the spokes, and have the hub vapor blasted.

          Pete:

Touch-base w Rich. He knows of a vintage restorer who can probably build a wheel. Wheel building is a skill I’d like to have. I know that Century Cycle use to have a wheel building course, but IDK if they still do it, and IDK how applicable it is to moto wheels. Suspect there’s a YouTube vid about it, but I think I’d like to try it on a cheapo wheel before I attempted it on a nice Borrani.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DeBEXq2dGnU

Edit: Now that I think about it, I’ll bet that Mark can do it. He’d ‘prolly teach us how if we asked nice…
