This a one day event which will make it easier to deal with at the last minute in the event that we encounter foul weather and have to reschedule. The route I have settled on is a fun route with lots of good asphalt and well maintained dirt & gravel roads. This promises to be a great ride with lots of terrific roads. As far as difficulty, the will be lots of miles of dirt / gravel roads with lots of elevation changes but no water crossings and all are passable for an average car. We will gather at and depart from the Bob Evans Restaurant in Burbank (located at I-71 and Route 83) at 9:00 AM. This should allow everyone to get there on time without riding in the dark as sunrise on Oct. 10 will be at 7:34 am. Plans are to stop at the Warehouse in Cosocton for lunch, followed by more of the same kind of riding as we make our way to Loudonville. Those who have had enough in the morning can head N on 83 from Coshocton to Burbank and pick up I-71 N for Cleveland. Don’t miss this terrific (almost) end of the season ride. The GPS file for the upcoming Dual Sport Ride has been uploaded. The file name is BMWMOC 2020 Fall DS Ride.gpx     This is a large file as it contains multiple routes with numerous waypoints. Depending upon your particular GPS device, it will likely divide the primary route into multiple segments. You will have to choose the segments you want, all of which will have the same name but include a sequential number ( 1, 2, 3, etc.) at the end of the name. Once you have finished a given segment, you will have to load the next in the series to follow along.

All right, all right, all right! (with a tip of the helmet to Matthew Mcconaughey) The weather is looking good for tomorrow’s dual sport ride. Most of us will meet at the Bob Evans in Burbank / Lodi – located off route 83 just North of I-71. We will leave from there at 9AM. I personally was not planning on breakfast there as that would mean leaving Cleveland in the dark. (I will be leaving from the GetGo Gas station at Lear/Nagle and I-90 in Avon at 8:AM if anyone wants to join me.) Ed and Coop will be joining us in Nashville. We can meet at the Fire Dept. on the NW corner of the intersection of Routes 514 and 39. We plan to have a brief riders meeting there and hit the road at 10 AM. The Warehouse in Roscoe Village will be our lunch destination. After lunch, riders can continue with more dual sport fun as we head to Loudonville and points North, or you can follow the twisty Route 83 North to head back home. It will be chilly in the morning but we hope to reach the low to mid 70’s in the afternoon. 20% chnce of rain on WKYC suggests rain in the evening so we should be able to stay dry all day!
