Appalachian ADV is putting on a ADV ride and capout on April 9-11.
April 9-11, 2021 – The Fools Ride on April Fools Ride
A great way to knock off the winter cobwebs! A few of Appalachian ADV’s local loops, near Brush Creek in Eastern Ohio. Each loop encompasses 50-100+ miles of two-lane county pavers, off the beaten path gravel roads, “No Maintenance” dirt lanes, and plenty expert challenge areas.
A total of 5 routes are available from 50 to 100+ miles covering some amazing twisty pavement, gravel forest roads, unmaintained dirt, and optional expert challenge areas. Three of the routes are rated EZ and cover 50, 70, and 110 miles. These will be available to load to your GPS for self-guided/self-paced rides, MOTO-RECON will also be providing amazing paper maps of the EZ routes. Kane will lead a group on the 50 mile EZ on Friday late afternoon where we will have a chance to hit one of the challenge spots (test your mettle). Saturday will be a group lead ride on the ADV Dual Sporting moderate rated 100+ mile Real Deal Loop with optional expert challenge areas. Tackling of the expert areas are not required to complete the EZ loops or the Saturday moderate loop. Sunday Funday is the group lead expert only ADV Dual Sporting 50 mile Hardcore Encore Loop! Be ready for big bike deadlifting! Mandatory hard stuff on this one!
The routes are intended for and graded based on ADV bikes. Dual Sport bikes are welcome and will have a much easier time on the courses. Camp will be set up on 80+ acres of private land with a 50×80 powered outbuilding and plenty of places for rustic or pop-up camping. Breakfast and dinner will be provided on Saturday. All other meals should be planned by rally participants. A lunch stop is built into the Saturday ride and there are several places to pick up food near base camp and along the routes.
Cost is $75 and includes camping and meals.
