The west-side ride on Saturday, July 26, 2025, will be a destination ride to the Age of Steam Roundhouse Museum in Sugarcreek, OH. You can learn more about the museum at their website, https://ageofsteamroundhouse.org/. The only way to view the exhibits is to take a tour. Tours are offered at 10:00am, noon, and 2:00pm. We are planning to get there in time to take the noon tour, and afterward head to one of the local restaurants for a late lunch.
If you intend to take the tour, I highly suggest you purchase a ticket in advance. Tickets might be available at the ticket counter on July 26, but there is no guarantee. Purchase tickets online by visiting https://ageofsteamroundhouse.org/event-details/roundhouse-tours/ and clicking on the Purchase Tickets button. Tickets cost $20 for adults, $17 for seniors (65+), $12 for youths (3 – 16). Under age 2 is free.
The ride itself: we will depart from the Bob Evans on Center Road (Rt 303) in Brunswick promptly at 9:15. We will ride back roads to our rest stop, the Circle K station at Rt 585 and Wadsworth Road, arriving there at 10:10. After a 20 minute break we will continue down the backroads to Sugarcreek and the museum, arriving at about 11:35. You can download a GPX file of the route from the Shared GPX Files section of the BMWMOC website.

The weather forecast for Saturday calls for some showers, but it doesn’t look like it will be a rainout. Buy your tour ticket and come out and ride!
