2nd Online User Group Meeting — May 9, 10:00 AM to noon
Our first online GPS/BaseCamp User Group meeting was a success! I think it’s fair to say we all learned a lot, with everyone contributing their questions, answers, tips and tricks. Mark showed us his Basecamp screen online and we helped him figure out how to transfer active tracks from his GPS to Basecamp to free up space on the GPS. We fiddled around using different activity profiles (motorcycling, atv, direct, etc.) and different route preferences (faster time, curvy roads) to see what difference they made on how BaseCamp calculated the route.
So we decided to schedule a 2nd meeting this spring. The format will be the same, but this time several people will be showing us routes they’ve created. And who knows what else will come up – that’s the fun of a user group. We all contribute, and we all learn. Lurkers are welcome. The only dumb questions are the ones no one asked.
If you weren’t on the list for the first meeting, let me know and I’ll add you to the list of invites for the Zoom meeting on May 9.
Notice how I’ve schedule the meeting for the 2nd Saturday in May — leaving room for club rides on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays just in case the Governor opens things up!
