I just got the Garmin XT2 late fall so have only done some short trips as a trial.  I have been doing the export in the MRA Android app directly into the Garmin app, but I have tried creating the GPX on a computer and then sending to the Garmin. So far I only used GPX 1.1 and the route seems to follow very closely to what MRA showed.  I will have to try out the 1.2 as well as more complicated routes.

Last year the only way I could find to get the Wednesday Ride GPX files to work consistently with the BMW Connected app was to import them into MRA using the Tom Tom map then re-exporting the file to the BMW app with waypoints. The BMW app won’t handle tracks and has a limit of 30 points so that is the main reason I switched to Garmin.  The BMW app works well if you just want to put in an address and go without much control over the app. It is interesting to switch between the different maps and see how the route and estimated times change.

So far I haven’t bought the MRA app turn-by-turn add, but I have been tempted to try it in a car instead of Google maps since it supports Android Auto.  Might be a good option for those with the Chigee motorcycle Andriod Auto screens.
